I have come across your site this evening and placed a private ad to sell my beloved 9000 turbo as I have just bought a 9-5 eco-turbo from a SAAB specialist in North Wales. I cannot recommend this company enough, as they have been a source of expertise as well as very reasonably priced servicing and parts. It is seldom one comes across this level of service from any company these days. Franchised dealers would do very well by seeing how a customer focused business should be run...

For your listings - have used Mann & Woodland, 8-10 Medina Place, Hove, E. Sussex for some time. Tel: 01273 771807. Very friendly, classic 900s their speciality but I've seen 9000s, new-shape 900 models, the odd 9-3 and even a few 99s and V4s in there too. They also break hopeless cases and can supply parts, and sell a few as well. Used to be a franchise until the early 80s, when the huge Ballamy's at Shoreham opened, and they're still servicing and maintaining cars they sold new. Highly recommended by all the Sussex Saab owners I know...

I would just like to the time to congratulate Cromwell SAAB, and in particular Peter Rogers who recently sold me this 1993 900 SE. I had to buy the car on trust as I live in the Shetland Islands and there was no way I could travel down to look at the car before purchasing it. They provided a professional service which made this potentially risky process a rewarding one, and I would recommend them to anyone who wants to buy a SAAB.

Hi Heather, I'd just like to inform you of a garage in Bristol that provided me with very good service.
The Workshop (Saab Specialists) Ltd in Hanham, Bristol is run by Ian Purvis (fully trained ex Saab mechanic).
I had a problem that 2 previous garages had failed to rectify, including my local main dealer.
Ian spent a lot of time, but found the problem, which turned out to be an incorrect part fitted, probably from new.
I would recommend them for anything Saab, they also have a huge selection of spares, and, although very busy, always had the time to explain the problem.

I'm on my third 9000 now, and I use a local independent Saab specialist in Kirkcaldy, Fife. It is St Clair Motors, run by a father & son team - Alistair and Ian Robertson. I think I've always had fair and reliable service from them. Their premises aren't all plate-glass and stainless steel like the main franchise holders, but they are very knowledgeable people who are particularly helpful if your car isn't in the first bloom of youth any more.
